It’s interesting how a strange abstract outline can immediately process into a meaningful image to us. Pablo Picasso was a master at drawing a bunch of abstract shapes and somehow our brains make it into something. Sometimes realistic representations can be a tad boring or a bit contrived. Anytime an artist takes creative license to create something new I love the hell out of it. Italian artist Ale Giorgini creates really rad minimalist and abstract art based on pop culture figures….actually some of my favorite movies and characters!

CUTE INANIMATE OBJECTS HOLDING HANDS.

Dot eyes and stick figure legs never looked so good. I mean, get a load of these little foods holding hands. Oh my god…..I just cant handle how cute these characters are. Food holding hands? Awwww. Sandwiches driving cars, a taco playing the saxophone and a Lord of the Rings reference? Hell yes. These delectable little bites are created by artist Matt Caputo of New Jersey. I’m truly impressed by the fine details in these drawings. Considering these are little cartoon foods they really do leave me quite hungry. Can I have an ice cream please? And make sure hes holding hands with a burger please.

Greek artist and t-shirt designer Teo Zirinis is the clever mind behind HandsOffMyDinosaur!
His art has a great blend of puns, pop culture references and whimsy.
Whether its inanimate objects doing something silly, a play on words or your favorite character doing something out of character all of his work is great fun.

Pizzas have scary tales to tell around a campfire too.
